Middle School Summer Earth Science Camp

Island School alumnus Jeremy Randolph-Flagg ʻ11, is offering an Earth Science Camp for middle school students this summer. Jeremy is the son of teacher, Joyce Flagg. He has earned a BA in Geology from Carleton College and is serving a year as a tutor for AmeriCorps.

When: July 11- July 15, 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Where: Island School Room 7
Tuition: $150

Curriculum: Each day will have a different focus in Earth Science -- volcanoes, earthquakes, field geology, tectonics, and the development of Hawai‘i. The day will be balanced between short lectures, lots of hands-on activities, and time for athletics and games in the day. There will be one field trip to Kalapaki to study lava variations.

Bring your own lunch and a refillable water bottle daily.
