3rd Graders Learn By Doing

Third graders have been practicing math and writing skills in some creative ways.

First, they needed to figure out how many bottles of water they had to sell to raise money for their O‘ahu trip. They had been gaining experience in solving story problems, so they put these skills to use. Working in pairs, they wrote two-step story problems to figure out how many bottles they had left from Fall Round-Up.

Next, they followed a recipe and each baked their own loaf of banana bread.
