Two Contests for Studenets

HAIS Logo Contest: Oct. 16

HAIS (the Hawai‘i Association of Independent Schools) is pleased to announce a contest to design a new logo! They are seeking current students who can design a creative, innovative and professional logo. HAIS will award a total of $675 worth of prizes, including iTunes gift cards for the top 3 student entries and a $500 Innovation Grant for the winner's school. The winning design will be used as the Official Logo for the Hawai‘i Association of Independent Schools.

All entries must be received no later than October 16.

Inspired in Hawai‘i Contest: November 6

The Clarence T.C. Ching Foundation "Inspired in Hawaii" Contest encourages Hawai‘i's students to "dream big and make Hawai‘i a better place." This year's contest has $10,000 in cash awards for students and their teachers who place first, second or third. The contest is open to students in kindergarten through grade 12 who are current residents of the state of Hawai‘i. Each entry must identify an existing problem in Hawai‘i and offer a thoughtful solution to the problem. There are three divisions: Essay, Poster and Video, and students may enter only one division.

 All entries must be received no later than 4:00 pm on Friday, November 6.
