Gift Wrap Packets This Week!

The Parent Association raised thousands of dollars last year to benefit the students of Island School through the Gift Wrap fundraiser. This year, the sale will kickoff this Tuesday, September 8, and run until September 22. ALL grades (PK-12) are invited to participate.

Like last year, the chick program will be part of the sale this year! Great American Opportunities is teaming up with worldconcern.org to help families in need. Every student who turns in three orders by September 22nd will have a chick donated to help a child and family in need. When a chick becomes a chicken, it produces hundreds of protein rich eggs each year. Eggs will provide the essential nutrients these families need.

A couple of volunteers are also needed this WED, THURS and FRI at 7:20 am. in front  of school to hand out keychains and collect Reach Out booklets. Please contact Monica if you are available to help. amking@hawaii.rr.com

Many thanks to Monica King for her hard work in making the fundraiser happen. Also to Heather Beidermann, Kori King and Amy Spindt for helping to prepare the packets.

Students were introduced on Tuesday to the gift wrap sale by the representative from Great American Opportunities.
