Hawaiian Hardwood Needed for Drum Project

Ian Cowden '15, has taken on a special project this trimester with Kumu Kauka in hula class. He is going to  carve a drum. To complete this assignment he needs wood - preferably grown on Kaua`i. Please be on the lookout for the following:
  • Coconut - at least 50 years old, minimum 12" long.
  • Any Hawaiian hardwood is also good - Kou, Milo or Koa.
If you have access to this, please drop it off in the Frear Center. Mahalo.
