Mock Trial is sponsored by the Hawai‘i State Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division. Their website describes the program as follows:
The Mock Trial program consists of high school teams state-wide who compete by acting as lawyers and witnesses in simulated civil and criminal trials before actual judges. Students work within teams, supervised and assisted by teachers and volunteer attorneys, to prepare a hypothetical courtroom trial. Case materials are supplied by the Hawai‘i State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division and involve issues that are relevant to Hawai‘i law and the young generation

This year's case is regarding the negligence of a paintball facility and a teenager who got hurt playing paintball there.

Our team will compete against two teams from O‘ahu and one from the Big Island. Our students have worked  hard for this opportunity and it should be an amazing trip. We wish them the best.
