Nicole Street's trimester 2 Creative Writing students submitted poems to the International Peace Poem Project. Four of our students came in first and second place respectively in the grades 10 & 11 divisions.

    1st place:  Julia A. Randolph-Flagg
    2nd place: Gabrielle LaFratta

    1st place:  Rebecca Rose Stevens
    2nd place: Jade Ireland Murphy

They will be recognized at a special ceremony at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church on Monday, May 18. Ms. Street and Mr. Sprinter are invited to accompany the winners and their families. Director Melinda Gohn will present them with certificates and they will read their poems aloud. Councilwoman JoAnn Yukimura is expected to speak at the event.

Congratulations to these creative students and to their teacher, Ms. Street, for their accomplishment.
