Mahalo to the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th grades for the fantastic job sprucing up our Community Garden and planting the "legacy" rosewood trees in the upper field for their Ho‘okupu project. The 1st grade planted the herb garden with parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme; along with marigold and mint plant. The second grade planted leafy vegetable seeds, fertilized papaya with worm "juice" from the worm farm and watered plants. The 4th grade did a great job spreading our the mulch in the new section of the garden and around the garden shed for weed control. And, the 5th grade planted the trees, fertilized with worm juice, weeded out the guinea grass, installed weed barriers and watered all the rosewood trees. Mahalo plenty for a great job!
