This Weekʻs Classified Ads/Community Events

Help Needed For Art Day
  • Artistsʻ Luncheon Donations: Please sign up to bring a delicious dish on Art Day. Our Artists' Luncheon treats our volunteers to a well-deserved banquet! Go to: to sign up.
Please collect:
  • pint-sized plastic containers
  • large, square, restaurant-type egg trays. We need lots!
  • small boxes
  • wood scraps
  • dry twigs
  • fabric scraps in solids and children's prints
To borrow
(please put your name on these items.  We'll be sure you get them back!)
  • 15 pairs of gardening shears
  • an ironing board
  • sewing machines (contact Cristy or Joan)
Bring your donations to the art room or leave them in the front office labeled "For Penny." If youʻd like to volunteer to help the artists, please contact Penny.

ALL iSchool subjects except Spanish, plus programming and Latin

Lexa Mink-Flacco, IS ’11 and now studying Computer Science and Classics at UH Manoa, is on-island this year and offering tutoring services.

While at IS, she took and did well in 4 classes with Mr. Bray, 7 science classes, and 3 years of Chinese; plus Creative Writing, AutoCAD, a year of Calculus at KCC. She’s also worked with children and adults with Asperger’s and autism spectrum disorder.

Individual instruction is $30 an hour with a 1-hour minimum.

Coming soon  -  very inexpensive small-group supervised and assisted study sessions afternoons at Island School and evenings in Princeville.
