Sasha Rovinsky Wins Island School Spelling Bee

The Middle School Spelling Bee went through 16 rounds. Eighth grader, Sasha Rovinsky won the Bee with the word departure, which was rather easy compared to his other words! Seventh grader, Luke Sullivan and eighth grader. Manule'a Trujillo, dueled through three nerve wracking rounds for second place. Manu spelled argumentative correctly, edging out Luke who stumbled on the word, asthma. Sasha and Manu will represent Island School in the county Spelling Bee later in the year. Luke will be their alternate.
