Interact Club Sees Results of their Service

Craig Nishimoto from Po‘ipu Rotary presented a slide show during the Interact club meeting yesterday. He showed photos of the water catchment system that our Interact club gifted to the Chheuteal Rong Primary School in Pursat Province, Cambodia as a result of fundraising efforts last year. These two water containers, in combination with sand filtration systems, will provide drinkable water for these school children for years to come. As you can see in the first photo, our school name now hangs next to the front door of this one room school house in Cambodia. As a club, we have decided to implement one project each year which will aid in the creation of  sustainable programs to help these impoverished school children. "A proud moment," said Mr. Reynolds, Interact adviser.

Island School is listed on the plaque at Chheuteal Rong Primary School.
