The Relay for Life is an annual fundraiser on behalf of the American Cancer Society, and is also a chance to recognize and celebrate local cancer survivors. All proceeds from the fundraiser go towards cancer research and support for local community members affected by cancer. This year's Relay is from August 15 @ 6:00pm - August 16 @ 6:00am and will be hosted at the Kaua‘i Christian Academy in Kilauea. It is a volunteer driven activity, so help is needed with a number of activities, including: setup, takedown, parking control, security (doing rounds around the parking lot/ stage areas) and litter collection among a few other tasks. Note that set up will be the morning of the 15th before the event starts (roughly 9am-5pm) and takedown will occur after the event end from roughly 6am-10am, depending on how many people are helping out.
Note that volunteers will be provided with a Relay for Life volunteer t-shirt and food depending on when and how long they help out for.
