5th Graders to Perform "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow"

The scripts have been distributed, parents have signed up to help build sets, props and costumes and auditions are this Wednesday for the annual 5th Grade Play!

This year, drama teacher Peggy Ellenburg has chosen Washington Irving's beloved tale of the Headless Horseman, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." The script, written by playwright Katheryn Schultz Miller, has all the funny/scarey characters and scenes from the original story. This is the third play by Miller chosen for the 5th Grade Play. The Class of 2014 performed her adaptation of "Pinocchio" as 5th graders, and this year's sophomores performed "The Emperor's New Clothes." Miller's plays are loved for their interactions with the audience, on-stage sound effects performed by the cast and quick moving scene changes.

Mark your calendars! Showtimes are November 7, 8, & 9. Anyone wanting to get involved is invited to contact Peggy at, or stop by her office in the Main Hall.
